How does CHANNELS work?

What does channels do? 
How does it work?
Do you use channels?

Been using adsense for almost 2 years now..but still I cant figure out how CHANNELS really work.

By using channels you can track the impressions generated from your different websites or forums where you post.

for example, you belong 3 websites where you implement google adsense (by adding code to the script).

and there are 2 forum where you can earn revenue by posting message.

so, you have total 5 sources (3 webs + 2 forums) from where adsense revenue will generate.

now, if your adsense report shows a total of 500 impressions and 50 clicks.....you will be able to know the number of impressions and clicks generated in each source. 

thats it.
