I wish to use any two techniques to evaluate a website and compare their results. I'm also interested in links to related literature.

One book I recommend for web usability and is great for diagnosing bad usability methods on a website is located at the link below. It shows things like how to design HTML forms to colors, studying shapes, etc.Good luck with the studies.
